I'm so glad you are here! I hope during your visit you get a glimpse of God's heart for we become what we are gazing at. I pray that God refreshes you and gives you readiness to persevere in what He has for you today. My desire is to be a blessing to you in helping you know God more and make Him known so I've made theses Resources and tools available to you and the Missional Living blog tab for practical ideas of how to live on mission right where you are. If you are blogger please come by on Friday to link up for Brag on God Friday. And I just started "Ask Laura" so head on over to the Ask Laura tab to shoot me a question "Now Deborah, a prophet, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time. She held courtunder the Palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites went up to her to have their disputes decided. She sent for Barak son of Abinoam from Kedesh in Naphtali and said to him, "The LORD, the God of Israel, commands you: 'Go, take with you ten thousand men of Naphtali and Zebulun and lead them up to Mount Tabor. I will lead Sisera, the commander of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his troops to the Kishon River and give him into your hands." Judges 4:4-7 Don't you just admire Deborah. She is found already being a faithful steward with the gifts God has given her. So confident in what the Lord was doing and wanting to do. And I love that God used her with the abilities she had. It seems there is a tendency to think when God uses people it will be a miraculous completely out of their element type of thing. But I just love that God uses our individual uniqueness to accomplish His purposes. Therefore we need to use our abilities the best we know how as though it were all up to us, but trust and depend as though it were all up to Him-because it is. Deborah is such a great example of 1 Peter 4:10-11 "Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen." What keeps you from fully using what the Lord has gifted you with? For me, sometimes I am afraid of messing up so I don't step out in faith in sharing what the Lord may have for someone. But the Lord in His grace reminds me that I need to put more confidence in God's ability to correct me and redeem my failures than my ability to mess it up. Oh Lord, thank you for gifting us all so uniquely. Help us appreciate each other more and more each day. And Lord would You help us to be good stewards with the abilities You have given us for Your glory. Help us to give You fully what You deserve, all of us without reserve, unafraid of failure and what others think.
